humour make him a great collaborator and a truly creative
producer. I count laughing with Fred (or listening to Fred
laugh) as one of my most gratifying experiences. I think the
moment my perceptions of Fred were distilled was when,
completely enraged with myself after dropping that arri 435
in the briny, turned to him and he gave me an
inimitable shrug and flicked some ash off your cigarette. It

" Hey fred and
bianca, congratulations on fred films! i am sure you
guys will have every success! i have left partizan
in the states and have not decided which company to
join, there are many to choose from.
i am in sydney at the moment shooting a 10 day,
2mill commercial for toyota. its a great idea with
australia's most creatively succesful and hip agency.
life is good!
i even managed to get ramsay to strap on the
toolbelt and get out of capetown for this one.
i would love to work and play with you guys again! i
will send you a current reel when i finish this as
it is a tiny zeitgest for me.
china...funny but mike at 8 had such a hard time
dealing with the chinese money people that there was
a bittersweet after taste when the job was all said
and done. i believe though with the right connection
there its a potential gold mine. yes definately
interested but a little wary. but shanghai is a
blast fred you would love it!
my current schedule has me finishing shooting in a
weeks time. i am going to take a we break after that
as i have a 32 ft sport cruiser now to frolic in
sydneys beaches and rivers.
i am excited at the thought of seeing you both
really soon, theres only been a couple of
oppurtunities to work together but i have great
memories of exciting times in foreign places. fred
undoubtably in my experiance i have found you to be
one of the best producers i have had the oppurtunity
to work with, having the very rare blend of
creativity and how to best achieve it in the fairest
most efficient way. you are fanatastic to
collaborate with, you surround yourself with great
people who i feel greatly respect and adore you. i
love the fact that whilst your very serious about
your role, you dont tolerate fuckwits and you have a
life outside this pedantic mostly pedestrian
business. you are in my estimation a cut above the
rest. i am proud to say you are a mate of mine.
give me a tinkle on the phone sometime soon, i would
